We're glad that you dropped by. I suppose you might be visiting because you're curious what "Carrier Community" means. Maybe you're checking the site out because you never imagined "AMS" and "Carrier Community" together in the same sentence.
Well, believe it or not we've been working with the P&C carrier community for at least two decades. It was in 1988 that the original Allenbrook Phoenix was born, and the charter Phoenix customers banded together to create a policy system that met their needs built on the Microsoft Windows platform. In the years that followed, the Phoenix user community played an instrumental role in forming the product. At the best of times, everyone benefited from the community:
- we as vendor benefited by getting input and direction from real-world users
- customers benefited by being able to influence the direction of the product
- users benefited from each other, both through direct interaction and by taking advantage of the improvements their peers had advocated for in the product
Over the years, for various reasons, we've drifted apart. Perhaps that was because we were too busy with other commitments and distractions to take action on your suggestions. Perhaps, because you had no immediate crisis to resolve and you didn't have occasion to connect with us. Almost certainly, because we failed to listen.
We're listening now.
Listening to you, our customers, and encouraging you to communicate and share both with us and with each other is what this site is all about. And there is a lot for us to discuss! We'd love to hear what you think about some of the work we've been up to lately. Did you know:
- AMS Phoenix now provides web services which will allow you to integrate with third-party systems and (finally) includes an automated out-of-sequence endorsement processing tool. And by the way, those features are built upon our new XML policy framework written in .NET.
- AMS PremiumBill, our thin-client .NET billing solution, is now in production and offers features like EFT and electronic delivery of bills & notices
- AMS TransactNOW adoption has increased steadily with an over 40% increase in transaction volume compared to a year ago. The breadth of transaction types is increasing as well, with over 20 carriers now supporting new business upload.
But even more important than what we've built recently, we'd like your input on what is about to come:
- We're building an AMS Phoenix web portal including search and inquiry to replace the Phoenix Desktop -- what form would you like that to take?
- We've prototyped an identity management system which will allow AMS agents to much more seamlessly interact with your web site and eliminate the need for "stickies" full of passwords attached to agents' monitors -- how could your company take advantage of that?
- We're working on a self-service tool to help carriers test their download AL3 and speed the download certification process. How would your company use that?
Even better, tell us about a challenge your business is seeking to solve now! Thanks to the investments we're made in improvements such as .NET technology and our move toward Agile development techniques focused on maximizing the customer value, we're better positioned to help you address those challenges than we have been in years.
So, speak up! We're all ears.
